Royal Navy Sailor Embarks on Epic Cycling Journey to Support Son’s Healthcare

Following medical assessments, Rudy underwent selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) surgery on the National Health Service (NHS) to improve his mobility and alleviate his pain. The surgery has already shown remarkable progress, enabling Rudy to walk upstairs and independently swing on a swing. However, to maintain his progress, he requires physiotherapy four times a week, as well as hydrotherapy. Through events organized by Rhys’s colleagues on his ship, HMS Protector, they have managed to raise over £20,000.
